We spent a pleasant afternoon with STEPHANIE RAYMOND, the co-director of the Orca Network, who told of the orca pods in our waters and the similarities and differences in pod behaviors.
Paul Michaels, the Key Peninsula sculptor who is creating the Gateway Orca Pod public art installation showed slides of his past works. He explained the process of creating bronze statues.
Local nature photographer Randy Witter shared his experiences capturing orcas on film. He gave tips on how to see them yourself by using the Orca Network information and going to public areas.
